When I came to Japan I bought a blue $20 Sigg bottle. I’ve used it almost every day at home and while traveling. It works great but sometimes it’s a little big. I saw a 500ml bottle at the ¥100 store but it was a ¥500 priced piece of junk. The other day I was craving some Lays Salt & Vinegar chips so I headed downtown for some underground shopping and ran across a ’3 coin store’ where everything is 300 yen. I saw a Sigg like bottle that looks good inside and out and I bought it for a total of ¥315. If you have a store like this near you, or you ever see one in Japan, I highly recommend it. Will this 500ml bottle last forever? I’m not sure, but so far after a week of extensive use it’s doing good, and hopefully it’ll last with no corrosion on the inside. Here’s an image for comparison.
So now I know i am not hip or with it…what’s so great about a Sigg bottle? If I had to guess, or wish, it would be that it doesn’t ‘sweat’. If that’s the case I’ll be running to my nearest 3 coin store for one tomorrow.

I’m with Shane on this one. You know people have too much money when they start spending $30 on a water bottle. Seriously people, get a life!
Shane – No, it sweats. But you can get a foam insulated cover for it which works pretty good to prevent sweat and temperature loss. I have one but don’t use it except when traveling because the it’s harder to drink from.

I received that exact red water bottle as a price in an ultimate frisbee tournament years ago, now I know how much it costs!
I have owned aluminum bottles like these for years. They are for hikers and others who need ultralight, 100% leak-proof containers. Water also tastes better when drank from them because they do not chemicalize the taste like plastic bottles can.
In using the cheaper one, I feel the water retains a more metal-tinged taste actually.
I don’t like Sigg bottles because the openings are too small. I prefer Laken brand because they have larger openings.
I agree that Sigg are way over priced. Again, Laken are much cheaper and I feel, better functionally.
Jason – For drinking I like how small the Sigg bottle opening is. I can’t compare it to the wide mouthed Columbia bottles of mine because they’re threaded on the outside which is annoying. Laken bottles look pretty cool! I’ll have to eventually replace the Sigg bottle because I recently dropped it when it was completely full and now it has a dent which will probably break the seal on the inside and cause some corrosion, so I’m going to look into the Laken brand. The bottle will probably last a lifetime, but Sigg or some other company will introduce something even “cooler”, so people will get bored with the bottle within 3 or 4 years and buy a newer, “improved” model. That’s marketing.
Have you seen this 揑 want you to know that authentic designer handbags are expensive. Simple as that. But sometime you can find a pretty good deal if you know what to look for. If a bag retails for 1,200.00 and just came out, the latest style and someone is selling it for 200.00…it is a fake. But sometime you can find last season handbags at greatly discounted prices if you know what to look for in a handbag. And by buying last season you save a lot of money and no one but you will know when you brought it. Keeping up with the Jones will bankrupt you. So look around the internet and really look at the handbags available. Ask the seller questions but first of all educate yourself about the bag you want. Don’t automatically asume all handbags sold online by individuals are fake if you do you will miss out on a lot of good deals.
