Hiking in Fukuoka Japan

I went hiking with a friend of mine recently. We rode our bikes about an hour to the east side of Fukuoka and hiked to the top of a mountain. I took just a few pictures, but recorded a lot more (which I don’t have online). It’s called Tachibanaiyama or Touchybunny or something, I don’t remember, but the top has an amazing view of city of Fukuoka Japan.

Great finds! I am a nature lover myself; here in Nagano we have wonderful scenery as well. Don’t you find the dichotomy between city and nature quite intriguing? Japan is a country of great contrasts and those pictures are prove of it.

Yoshihiro - It’s surely amazing. Especially when the city runs right up to the mountain but just a few minutes later in your in a completely different setting.

Jyankee - I saw no bunnys, but I did see about 3 snakes on the trail. I didn’t touch them though, haha!

Nomadic Matt - For sure. I went with a friend who recently hiked Fuji to see the sunrise. I think that’s got to be the #1 hiking experience in Japan.

Sounds like a great trip. One of my close friends is from Fukaoka and he really enjoys it.

You are keeping a very helpful blog for people interested in Japan, so please keep up the good work. I recently moved from Tokyo to Miyakojima myself. If you get a chance please check out my site: http://www.simplisticthoughts.com. I have several posts on Japan myself.

    Keep up the good work

Freaking Right! I was planning on doing some hiking in the Tokyo area of the country myself! Maybe in Nikko next week. Maybe Fuji area in a few weeks. Maybe down Kyoto area next month. I will be sure to leave some pics on my blog and let you know.

I love nature. It is such a refreshing thing to experience when being in the city for too long. Yup, there is nothing like a nice day trip hiking in mountains…

HEEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOO! Anybody home!?!?!?! No posts in a while, I really hate it when my favorite blogs do this. They just suddenly stop posting forever. Apparently you don’t care about your readers, or you would’ve posted within a MONTH! Jeez!
