A little while ago I was talking about my internet speed here in Japan and I must say that today I’m loving it! I downloaded the latest Nine Inch Nails album in about 45 seconds. Not bad for $50 a month internet service! Here’s a screen shot I took.

Impressive for $50 service. I’ve been able to hit +700KB/sec download on rare occasions where I live. Unfortunately I have to share bandwidth will everyone else in my dorm, so its usually much slower.
Majestic - Sharing bandwidth? That’s never any fun. Especially the ups and downs of the speed.
WOW! at least 2MB/sec for just twice the price i’m paying for Verizon DSL!
Im impressed with Japan and their advanced technology
If you remember here in the US, FiberOptic is still a baby and has to grow.
Verizon’s FiOS is 42.99, but i think that’s liek the slowest version
btw, DSL is just alright for me, even though i’m sharing bandwidth with my big brother that loves to download via torrent :]
Japan internet is sold in a manner where their networks could eventually be exhausted (even though the chance of it is very low). American internet on the other hand….is sold where your speed will not eventually exhaust a network.
I get about 318 kb/sec and pay $12.99 for it.
