southofreality - Yeah! I forgot to mention the traffic directing. At first I thought there were too many people working. But the construction I've seen usually gets done quickly, and the side streets are so small that I like seeing 50 warning cones and a guy standing around to make sure nobody gets hurt.

This is a country in love with construction and public works projects. As far as efficiency goes, it seems like there are way too many people directing traffic and doing various trivial things when I see such sites. But, I agree that when they want something finished, they usually get it done.

Mike - I haven't seen anything too fancy in the U.S. either. And it's amazing how fast things get done around here from what I've seen so far.

Jyankee - Yeah no doubt! Thanks for coming back. I'm heading to your blog shortly after posting this. I haven't seen any spray painting around here, but I can imagine the aftermath. It makes no sense to repaint to make one building look good while ruining other buildings or vehicles around.

They always put up walls around Canadian construction sites as well. Although they are usually only made of plywood. Those walls look fancy!
